After much delay, we finally shot this sweet series and got it online! This collection was one of our first forays into greeting cards and we really wanted to go for something tactile and precious-looking. So, we grabbed our carving tools and hand-cut lino blocks for each 4-Bar (3 1/2″ x 4 7/8″) card. These are available for individual sale, packaged with a matching grey envelope in a clear, sealed sleeve. Another Editorial Pinch illustrated flower: the zinnia! These are magical flowers, little pillows with endless petals and a spectrum of colors that are anything but dull. The indigenous wild zinnias growing in Mexico’s deserts were given the moniker “mal de ojos” or “evil eyes” by the colonizing Spaniards. I guess they didn’t catch on to this flower’s cheery disposition!
